Beach in Iowa closed after brain-eating amoeba confirmed in Missourian
Symptoms of Naegleria fowleri include seizures and hallucinations

A rare brain infection has led Iowa officials to close a Taylor County beach.
The
Iowa Department of Natural Resources said the temporary closure is a
precautionary response to a confirmed infection of Naegleria fowleri in a
Missouri resident who had recent potential exposure while swimming at the beach at Lake of Three Fires State Park.
Testing
to confirm the presence of the "brain-eating amoeba" is being conducted
in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) and could take several days to complete.
The
department wrote that it is working closely with the Iowa Department of
Health and Human Services and would share updates as test results
become available.

In
its own statement, The Missouri Department of Health and Senior
Services wrote that the Missouri patient is currently being treated for
primary amebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) in an intensive care unit of a
hospital.
It said the source of the patient's exposure is being
investigated and that local and out-of-state activity are being
considered.
The only other case identified among a Missouri
resident occurred in 1987 and no other suspected cases of PAM are being
reviewed there.
"These situations are extremely rare in the United
States and in Missouri specifically, but it’s important for people to
know that the infection is a possibility so they can seek medical care
in a timely manner if related symptoms present," Dr. George Turabelidze,
Missouri’s state epidemiologist, said in a statement.
Naegleria fowleri (commonly referred to as the "brain-eating
amoeba" or "brain-eating ameba"), is a free-living microscopic ameba*,
(single-celled living organism). It can cause a rare** and devastating
infection of the brain called primary amebic meningoencephalitis (PAM).

The
Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said on Facebook
Friday that it is strongly believed by public health experts that the
lake is a likely source and that additional public water sources in
Missouri are being tested.
Missourians are warned to take caution when swimming and diving in warm freshwater and assume the presence of Naegleria fowleria in those conditions.
Since 1962, only 154 known cases have been identified in the U.S.
PAM is not contagious, but can be life-threatening.

Naegleria
fowleria, the free-living microscopic single-celled living organism
that causes PAM, is commonly found in lakes, rivers, hot springs and
soil.
It usually infects people when contaminated water enters the nose and the amoeba travels to the brain.
In
very rare instances, infections may also occur when contaminated water
from other sources enters the nose, but a person cannot be infected from
swallowing contaminated water.
Symptoms of infection include
severe headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, stiff neck, seizures, altered
mental status and hallucinations.

The corporate media is propagating another campaign to stow fear over
a another COVID variant as the federal government attempts to use the
bioweapon to perpetuate an indefinite state of emergency.
BA.5, an Omicron subvariant, also known as ‘Ninja,’ is now the
dominant coronavirus strain in the United States, according to the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Ninja “is the most dangerous” variant yet and serves as “a strong reminder the COVID pandemic isn’t over,” the Daily Beast warns, in an article syndicated by Yahoo News on Friday.
While health practitioners around the nation have been fired,
suspended or revoked of their medical licenses for treating patients
with Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine, medications that effectively
treat COVID-19, experimental gene-editing COVID “vaccines” have proven
to provide no immunity against the transmission of the manmade virus.
Yet, “vaccines and boosters are still the best defense,” the Daily Beast reports.
“There are even Omicron-specific booster jabs in development that, in
coming months, could make the best vaccines more effective against BA.5
and its genetic cousins,” the publication notes. “BA.5’s widespread
mutations made the subvariant less recognizable to all those antibodies
we’ve built up from vaccines, boosters and past infection. BA.5 has been
able to slip past our immune system, ninja-style, contributing to the
rising rate of breakthrough cases and infections.
“The more additional jabs you get on top of your prime course, the
better protected you are. Arguably the best protection results from two
prime jabs of the mRNA vaccines from Pfizer or Moderna plus a couple
boosters.”
The left-wing outlet blames the rising rate of breakthrough cases and new variants on the “stubborn anti-vax minority.”
“In the U.S., for example, the percentage of fully vaccinated has stalled at around 67 percent,” the publication notes. “So COVID lingers, 31 months after the first case was diagnosed in Wuhan, China.”
In reality, the COVID vaccines are creating variants, contends Dr. Ben Marble, the founder of MyFreeDoctor who has treated over 300.000 COVID patients.
“All the different variants, they are created by the C-19 fake
vaccine poison — that’s why they exist,” Dr. Marble told the Gateway
Pundit in an exclusive interivew. They wouldn’t be here if it weren’t
for the mass use of these gene-editing fake vaccines. A lot of people
are getting really sick. Whose getting really sick? Of course, the
people who took the shots. The people who have gotten three and four
shots, they are the ones filling up the hospitals. An overwhelming
majority of hospitalized people with COVID are people who took the shot.
Unvaccinated people don’t get that sick. The bottom line is the more
doses of the poison shot you’ve taken, the sicker you are going to be
and the more likely you’re going to die soon.”
Mass vaccinating during an outbreak always create mutations, Marble argued.
“All immunologists know you are never supposed to mass vaccinate in
the middle of the pandemic. Ideally, you do it way before the pandemic
ever starts. Trying to do it during the middle of a pandemic guarantees
it’s natural selection,” he said. “The organism has to mutate in order
to survive and if it doesn’t mutate then it dies off. So, it will try
different mutations until one survives and keeps getting transmitted.
Suddenly, you have a new variant. The evolutionary selective pressure of
the fake vaccines forces the actual virus to mutate again.”
Marble suspects the Omicron variant, like COVID-19, was man made and released.
“This is bioterrorism. Some of the mutations are so strikingly
different. The Omicron variant was so slightly different it may have
been a separately released bioterror event as opposed to naturally
appearing from selective pressure and the mass vaccination,” he
continued. The original SARS 2 virus was a bioterrorism weapon was
clearly released and man made by Fauci the gain of function. They
released it on purpose. Every COVID death is a murder by Fauci and
friends.
“The Great Reset is actually a plan to use fake vaccines to cull the
human herd and that’s what they’re doing. We are witnessing a great mass
genocide. The problem is the mass formation psychosis. If you think
political correctness is good, you’re psychotic. The proof that they’re
insane is they keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a
different result, which is the definition of insanity. They take booster
after booster after booster thinking that they are going to get a

The
growing dominance of two super-infectious Omicron subvariants is
threatening to exacerbate California's coronavirus wave, but experts and
officials say there are sensible steps residents can take to protect
themselves.
Taking preventative measures is especially important
now, as the two strains in question — BA.4, and especially BA.5 — have
shown the ability to reinfect even those who recently contracted an
earlier Omicron subvariant.
"This is one of the biggest
implications of BA.5: A prior infection, including an Omicron infection
as recent as last month, no longer provides robust protection from
reinfection," Dr. Robert Wachter, chair of UC San Francisco’s department
of medicine, wrote on Twitter over the weekend.
BA.5 made up an estimated
53.6% of new cases nationwide for the weeklong period that ended
Saturday, according to the latest figures from the U.S. Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention. A month ago, the subvariant was thought
to be responsible for a bit less than 10% of new cases.
“BA.5 is a
different beast with a new superpower: Enough alteration in the spike
protein that immunity from either prior vax or prior Omicron infection
(including recent infection) doesn’t offer much protection,” according
to Wachter.
Here are some steps experts and officials say you can take to help ward off these latest versions of the coronavirus:
Vaccination basics
Experts
are urging people to get up-to-date on their vaccinations, and that
includes getting a first booster shot, or second booster if eligible.
Vaccinations and booster shots have been key factors in keeping
hospitalizations relatively modest for now.
According to the latest available data
from the California Department of Public Health, unvaccinated
individuals were more than five times more likely to get COVID-19 than
their vaccinated-and-boosted counterparts. They were also 7.5 times more
likely to be hospitalized and 14.5 times more likely to die from the
disease.
Currently, the CDC recommends a second booster for anyone
50 and older, as well as immunocompromised people 12 and older, at
least four months after a first booster.
While
the value of vaccinations and boosters "in preventing a case of COVID,
or preventing transmission, is now far less than it once was,” the shots
remain “hugely valuable in preventing a severe case that might lead to
hospital/death,” Wachter wrote on Twitter.
Reformulated boosters tweaked to add protection against the newest mutations of Omicron are also expected to roll out this fall.
But
there remain questions about how available that formulation will be,
considering that Congress has not yet approved billions of dollars
needed for pandemic-control efforts, including money to preorder
vaccinations.
That rollout also will likely be delayed until
November to incorporate a vaccination formula designed against the more
recent Omicron subvariants, rather than the oldest version, which
scientists fear would be relatively obsolete by then.
Some
eligible residents may be wondering whether they should delay getting
their second booster until the updated shots are available. For those
over the age of 50, "I'd say no — there's too much COVID around and
evidence of benefit from boost #2 is persuasive," according to Wachter.
"If
the new booster is highly effective (not guaranteed), I doubt that
getting a second boost now will block you from getting [a] bivalent
boost in fall," he wrote.
Dr.
Peter Chin-Hong, a UC San Francisco infectious-disease expert, also
said his "advice is to go ahead and get” a booster now, rather than
waiting.
Masks
While masks are no longer required in most
indoor public places statewide, many experts say they continue to offer a
worthwhile layer of protection.
California officials have consistently urged residents
to use face coverings in public interior settings, including stores,
restaurants, theaters and family entertainment centers. Los Angeles
County has gone a step further and still requires face coverings on public transit, including ride-sharing vehicles, and in indoor transportation hubs.
"As
families gather for summer barbecues, vacations and camp, the best way
to avoid disruptions to summer plans is to be sure that everyone is
up-to-date on vaccines, to wear a mask when indoors around others, wash
hands frequently, and to stay home and away from others when sick," L.A.
County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said this week.
Gatherings
Outdoors
gatherings are preferable to indoors. If you must gather inside, make
the setting as well-ventilated as possible by opening doors and windows.
Wearing masks also offers an additional layer of protection, officials
say.
Health experts also recommend using rapid tests to check
infection status as close to the start of a gathering as possible —
especially if older people or those with underlying health conditions
are present, or if attendees have frequent contact with vulnerable
people.
"To do indoor gatherings safely, it’s really about good
masking (and no indoor eating) and ventilation. Adding pre-event rapid
testing offers additional protection," Wachter wrote.
One of Pennsylvania’s popular drag queens, an LGBTQ+ youth adviser, has been charged with 25 counts of child pornography; he allegedly obtained dozens of photos and videos of nude underaged boys performing sex acts.
According to the Pennsylvania
Attorney General’s Office, Brice Williams, the drag queen Anastasia
Diamond is reported to have downloaded dozens of photos and videos of
underaged boys performing sex acts between May and December 2020.
A FOX 43 report said
that the child pornography “showed genitalia and boys performing oral
sex” and were linked to Williams’ email address and phone number.
Williams has been celebrated in
the state’s trend of over-sexualizing children through public and
private venues. He has been a prominent figure in the state’s focus on
celebrating alternative lifestyles and transgender rights.
The Patriot-News praised the drag queen last year for being a local activist who spreads “pride” all year long.
“Williams, who uses both masculine
and feminine pronouns, is HIV medical case manager at Keystone Health
Center in Chambersburg, but this month will join GLO Harrisburg,
a center that offers a ‘safe space’ for LGBTQ+ youth of color. There,
he’ll continue HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness work, while working
with LGBTQ+ youth,” the outlet reported.
The “safe space” LGBTQ+ youth
program, which opened in November 2019, offers a “teen clinic” once a
week “for ages 14 to 21, regardless of gender or sexual identity,” according to PennLive/The Patriot-News.
The University of Pennsylvania
Medical Center (UPMC) runs the youth center. Its mission is “To foster
inclusive communities and holistic well-being for LGBTQ+ people through
social, educational, and cultural engagement.”
According to FOX 43, Williams was
also awarded the 2020 Rising Star Award from the LGBTQ Center of Central
Pennsylvania for his activism.
A statement from UPMC said Williams had been fired.
“UPMC’s immediate concern is the
health and well-being of our participants who utilize the services
provided at GLO,” UPMC said. “Upon notification of the circumstances
surrounding the case, the individual was terminated.”
“We are fully cooperating with
authorities throughout the investigation,” the statement added. “We have
no reason to believe that this individual was at any point alone on the
GLO premises with a participant without other staff members present.”
According to The Glinner Update,
Williams is “at least the seventh man who is either a drag queen or a
sponsor of drag queens to be arrested for pedophilia offenses in recent
years”.
Other arrests include Brette Blomme,
best known for his role as president and CEO of Cream City Foundation, a
fiscal sponsor of the Milwaukee chapter of Drag Queen Story Hour.
Also, Albert Garza, a “Drag Queen Storytime” reader to children at the Houston Public Library.

The resolution would be voted on Wednesday by the Representative Assembly (RA), comprised of 6,000 educators, in Chicago
as well as virtually. NEA's resolutions represent the teachers' union's
opinions and beliefs. It was unclear whether the resolution passed. Fox
News Digital reached out to the NEA for comment and asked whether the
resolution passed but did not immediately receive a response.
"Using
this contract language, members need not worry about how a Board of
Education/solicitor defines ‘maternity leave,’ ‘mother,' and/or
‘father’; the language is an inclusive reflection of how LGBTQIA+
members build families," the proposed resolution said.
These
resolutions are known as "new business items" (NBI) are proposed by
delegates. It takes 50 delegate sponsors to bring the NBI to the RA
floor for debate and then to a vote, according to Education Week.

Justice of Moms for Liberty told Fox News Digital that she is now
calling the NEA the "K-12 Cartel" because they are holding parents and
children hostage to a radical agenda.
"We believe in American
teachers, and we don't believe that the lack of focus that the union has
on children is represented," she said.
"Normal people don't use the term chestfeeding or birthing person or any of this stuff," Nicole Neily of Parents Defending Education
said. "I think it just further underscores how completely out of touch
the teachers' unions… are from the concerns of normal parents."
"It's horrifying," she told Fox News Digital.
Elana Fishbein from No Left Turn in Education said the proposed resolution represents how the left wants to destroy the family.
"They
are arrogant. They are dismissive of the family, the parents. It's
beyond Orwellian. Even in science fiction, I don't know if you can have
such a script of complete destruction of human society," she said.

Past year's resolutions included support for reparations.
"The
Association acknowledges that both historical and current practices
have systematically advantaged and privileged people of White European
ancestry while disadvantaging and denying rights, opportunities, and
equality for people of color," a resolution on racial justice said.
Another resolution called for educators to fight back against "institutionally racist systems."
NEA delegates voted on a resolution on whether moms and dads
should be called a "birthing parent" and "non-birthing parent,"
respectively.

"The
National Education Association believes that, in order to achieve
racial and social justice, educators must acknowledge the existence of
white supremacy culture as a primary root cause of institutional racism,
structural racism, and white privilege," the resolution said.
"The
Association believes that school districts must provide training in
cultural competence, implicit bias, restorative practices and
techniques, and racial justice," it continued.
One
resolution called for the protection of the rights of the accused in
child abuse cases. "Any such allegation should be investigated and
resolved immediately without name disclosure," the resolution on
allegations against employees said. "The National Education Association
believes education employees should be protected from allegations of
child abuse made in bad faith."
