The REAL kamala)
An account of the terrors of working for Vice President Kamala Harris during the days she was a U.S. senator has resurfaced.
Terry McAteer, whose son worked briefly for Harris in a long-ago summer internship, wrote an op-ed for The Union in 2019 when Harris was in the midst of her failed campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.
This is not exactly a startling revelation.
In 2021, as Harris’s staff was heading for the exit one after the other, Politico wrote a piece describing the vice president’s office as a hotbed of dysfunction.
“People are thrown under the bus from the very top, there are short fuses and it’s an abusive environment,” Politico quoted what it said was a “person with direct knowledge of how Harris’ office is run.”
“It’s not a healthy environment and people often feel mistreated. It’s not a place where people feel supported but a place where people feel treated like s***,” the person said.
That has not stopped some from gushing over Harris, including Hollywood elites like Drew Barrymore.
But that’s not how McAteer described Harris in his 2019 op-ed, writing “there is another side of Kamala Harris which the general public does not know.”
He summed up how she interacts with her staff, from his son’s experience.
Harris “vocally throws around ‘F-bombs’ and other profanity constantly in her berating of staff and others. The staff is in complete fear of her and she uses her profanity throughout the day,” McAteer wrote.
“As Attorney General, Senator Harris instructed her entire staff to stand every morning as she entered the office and say, ‘Good Morning General,’’ he wrote.
During the internship, he wrote, Harris never introduced herself to McAteer’s son.
His son, he wrote, “was also given instructions to never address Harris nor look her in the eye as that privilege was only allowed to senior staff members,” he wrote.
“I don’t know about you but this is not the workplace of someone who respects her staff. For a woman of color to have employees stand when she enters the room smacks of a bygone era that we, as Americans, deplore and find demeaning,” he wrote.
“Finally, what is up with the ‘don’t look her in the eye’ instruction? I know I wouldn’t want to work in that hostile environment!” he wrote.

A Georgia activist stole the show after being introduced by former President Trump at his rally in Atlanta Saturday.
Trump invited Michaelah Montgomery up on stage toward the end of his speech at the Georgia State University Convocation Center. He introduced Montgomery by explaining he met her at a restaurant this year.
Trump said Montgomery, who attended Clark Atlanta University, had recognized him in public and commended him for funding historically Black colleges and universities.
"She looks at me, says 'It's President Trump. You saved my college.' And I said, 'How the hell do you know that?' ... This one is so smart, so sharp," Trump recalled.
"She grabbed me. She gave me a kiss," he added. "I said, 'I think I'm never going back home to the first lady.'"
"You were supposed to keep that quiet," Montgomery laughed.
The former president commended Montgomery, describing her as "incredible" with a "tremendous future," and told her he would do "whatever I can to help you," before giving her the podium.
"I do want to add on to some of the remarks that were made by others," the conservative activist began. "And we do need to do our best to get the message out there. The fight is nothing if all we do is talk about it amongst ourselves."
Montgomery added that she was a founder of an organization called Conserve the Culture, which helps "mobilize the HBCU students so that they may get this [conservative] message."
"Nobody needs this message more than my folks, so do y'all care for real?" Montgomery said to the cheering audience. "Are y'all with us for real?
"I'ma give it back to Big T."
The rally took place days after Trump was criticized by the White House for statements he made at the recent National Association of Black Journalists convention about Vice President Kamala Harris' racial identity.
"She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage," Trump said. "I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black. And now she wants to be known as Black. So, I don't know, is she Indian or is she Black?"
On Wednesday, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson praised Trump for "answering tough questions" at the conference.
"I commend my friend @realdonaldtrump for going into a hostile environment at @NABJ today and answering tough questions," Carson said in a post on X.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Trump campaign, but did not immediately hear back.

quote from bottom of this post......
"This is very much like what happened in 2016 and 2020. Union leaders back the Democrat but the union members support Trump."
The leadership of the United Auto Workers Union has endorsed Kamala Harris for 2024 but some of the rank and file members completely disagree.
One member named Brian Pannebecker created the group ‘Auto Workers for Trump’ and he is blasting the union’s endorsement of Harris as ‘sheer lunacy.’
Pannebecker is right to feel this way. Trump is such an obvious better choice for these workers. What has Kamala Harris ever built? Trump has a record to stand on with this issue.
From WXYZ News:
“Everyone is going to go to the voting booth and decide who they’re going to vote for, but I can assure you a huge majority of our members will vote for Kamala Harris,” said Fain.
However, not everyone is in agreement. Now retired UAW member Brian Pannebecker believes Trump has the majority of their support.
“To endorse Kamala Harris is sheer lunacy,” Pannebecker said. “How can you not endorse the guy who ripped up NAFTA and re-wrote the trade agreement so that it was to the advantage of the American worker?”
Pannebecker started the group “Auto Workers for Trump” in 2017 and says the group has only grown, attracting workers like Chris Vitale, a UAW member for 30 years who previously voted for Obama.
“Donald Trump is nowhere near a traditional Republican. If the choice was John McCain or Mitt Romney or one of these guys from the East Coast, I wouldn’t vote for them either, I never did,” said Vitale. “These are the choices we have, and I’ll damn sure take a guy who has built things and stuck up for the American worker over a San Francisco prosecutor.”
