Teens Rob and Punch 74-Year-Old Woman in New York's East Village
Storyful•
The New York City Police Department (NYPD)
were seeking help identifying three teenage suspects they say robbed
and punched a 74-year-old woman in the East Village on the evening of
Thursday, September 3.
The NYPD said the
incident happened just before 7 pm outside 402 East 14th Street in
Manhattan. Security footage shows three people passing the victim, one
of whom snatched the woman’s purse, police said. As she turns to
confront them, one of them punches her in the face, knocking her to the
ground. The person who grabbed her purse dropped it and all three fled
the scene, police said.
“Although the victim sustained bruising
and swelling to her face and cuts and scrapes to her hands she refused
medical attention,” police said.
The three suspects, two males and one female, were described by the NYPD as between 14 and 18 years of age. Credit: NYPD via Storyful

12-year-old displaying Trump sign punched several times by woman, Colorado police say
Maddie Capron
A Colorado 12-year-old was assaulted for holding a sign supporting President Donald Trump, according to media reports.
Boulder police told several local news outlets that the boy was riding his bike while carrying a Trump sign when a woman saw the sign and confronted the boy, the Boulder Daily Camera reported.
The woman drove up to the boy and said, “you want something to look at?” reported The Denver Channel. The woman then punched the boy “in the back of the head and arms several times,” according to the TV station.
“The suspect made a U-turn and approached the victim and began assaulting him because of his political banner,” investigators said, according to CBS 4. “The suspect then attempted to take the banner but was unsuccessful.”
The
boy told The Denver Channel that he was confused and “disappointed with
people who attack others solely for their political views.”
The
woman was described to be in her 20s or 30s and “wearing a tan jacket,
blue shirt and jeans,” the Daily Camera reported. She was riding a gray
or blue moped.
The case is being investigated, and no one has been arrested or cited, according to the news outlet.
Removal of Confederate monuments in Georgia leads to boycott of crane companies
Tanasia Kenney
A handful of Confederate monuments have come down across Georgia. Now, a local group plans to boycott the crane companies that removed them.
“These
companies have shown the sacrifices these veterans made is of no value
when compared to a quick buck,” leaders with the Georgia Division of the
Sons of Confederate Veterans said in a release announcing the boycott
Sunday. “All is for sale. They have sold themselves out to these liberal
municipalities and county governments.”
The group has called on
its 33,000-plus members to quit doing business with the two companies
hired to remove monuments in Athens-Clarke, Dekalb, Henry and Rockdale
counties.
Roper & Sons has relocated statues in Rockdale and Henry counties, and was tapped by Covington city officials in July to remove a Confederate memorial statue
from the city square, according to the Henry Herald. Superior Rigging
& Erecting Company of Atlanta was hired by Dekalb and Athens-Clarke
counties to remove monuments there, the newspaper reported.
The
Sons of Confederate Veterans criticized the companies for dismantling
“Georgia’s Veterans Monument in the dark of night” and discouraged
contractors, vendors, construction professionals and others from using
their services in the future. Thousands sign petition to save KKK statue amid calls for removal from Georgia cemetery
“This
Boycott is no reflection on the hard-working men and women who are the
operators, riggers, shop mechanics and drivers for these crane
companies,” the group wrote, saying it wouldn’t hold those employees
liable for “the greedy actions of their bosses.”
“It is
unfortunate that these crane companies have placed their employees in
this position just to make a fast buck,” the group said. “Many of these
monuments were erected by mothers, wives, sisters and daughters to honor
their lost loved ones. Many of these fine employees are veterans
themselves or descendants of veterans.”
At least four confederate
monuments have been removed in Georgia amid renewed scrutiny over Civil
War-era symbols sparked by the in-custody death of George Floyd, an
unarmed Black man killed on Memorial Day by Minneapolis police when an
officer knelt on his neck for about eight minutes as three other
officers failed to intervene.
Several monuments are still
standing, however, with the Peach State having more Confederate statues
and memorials on public property than any other state,
according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. Georgia is also home to
Stone Mountain, the nation’s largest Confederate monument.
The
state leads with 114 memorials honoring Confederate soldiers, followed
by Virginia with 110 and North Carolina with 97, the organization said.
It’s
unclear how much support the Sons of Confederate Veterans boycott has
gained, however, comments left on the group’s Facebook page suggest
traction may be slow.
“Boycotting is a weak but feel good/virtue
signaling effort that — unless done be millions of people across America
or the majority of the clientele of a business, has zero effect,” one
user commented.
“I’m more concerned about the politicians who voted for removal,” wrote another. “Serious discussion is needed with them.”
Why the hell does ANYONE think this is okay? You sick M... F ers
White black purple green.... YOU SICK SON OF A BITCH.
Why are any of us letting this happen? Why aren't the family and friends of this ass h__e not ripping him a new one? They are just as guilty.

Amazon driver hits 73-year-old man in the face after being 'asked to wear a face mask' while delivering packages
Graig Graziosi
An
Amazon delivery driver strikes a 73-year-old man in the face after he
asks him to wear a mask before entering a building: TwitterAn Amazon delivery driver allegedly assaulted a 73-year-old man that asked him to put on a face mask before entering a condo.
The
alleged assault was caught on surveillance video. Ray Breslin, who
asked the driver to stay out of the building until he had a mask,
returns from their discussion wearing a mask.
The driver then shoves a phone in Mr Breslin's face and holds it there for a moment before slamming it into Mr Breslin's head.
The assault occurred on 4 Aug, but the driver has yet to be charged.

"I was mortified" Mr Breslin told local broadcaster WSVN. "I just couldn't believe it."
A 73-year-old resident at a Miami Beach
condo said he refused to let an Amazon driver into the building without
a mask. When the man came back with a mask, he was seen shoving the man
in the face.
The
Miami Beach resident said he saw the delivery driver enter the building
without a mask. When the driver tried to go further into the building,
Mr Breslin stopped him and said he couldn't go further without wearing a
mask.
"I open the door, I said, 'Excuse me, you have to have a
mask on.' He said 'I'm just delivering.' I said 'It doesn't matter. You
wanna come in the building, you need to have a mask on,'" Mr Breslin
said.
He said the man attempted to enter anyway.
"All of a
sudden, he just puts his foot at the door like that. He's not gonna let
me close the door," Mr Breslin said. "I pushed his foot out of the way
and closed the door."
Mr Breslin said he took the packages from
the driver and left them near the building's front door. He also took a
photo of the driver's vehicle and his license plate.
The driver
went back to his vehicle to get a mask and returned to finish the
delivery. It was at that point that their confrontation escalated.
"Then
he came back with a mask on, and I thought 'Ok, not so bad' and I open
the door and I let them in," Mr Breslin said. "He brings his phone up
like that and smashes me in the face."
Mr Breslin pointed out to
the driver that the entire encounter had been caught on surveillance
video, which prompted the man to flee the scene with the packages.
"I
was like - what are you kidding me? I said 'there's a camera right
there that just shot all this' and he looked up, put his head down, took
his packages and walked right out the door," Mr Breslin said to NBC 2.
Mr
Breslin said the driver claimed he hit him because Mr Breslin hit him
first. However, the footage does not show Mr Breslin striking the driver
at any point.
The 73-year-old condo president was not injured in the encounter, but he said he was shaken up by the incident.
Mr
Breslin's lawyer, Michael Grieco, said the the incident was "felony
battery," explaining that any time someone hit someone over the age of
65, it was considered a felony.
Mr Breslin filed a victim's report with the local police, but the driver has yet to be identified or charged.
"The
fact that an Amazon driver, any delivery driver, would contemplate
getting violent with somebody in a situation like that is beyond me," Mr
Grieco said.
Amazon said it sent an apology letter to Mr Breslin.
The driver worked for a company that contracted with Amazon to deliver
its packages.
According to Amazon, the driver no longer works for the delivery company.
"This
does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service
partners," Amazon said in a statement. "We are addressing the incident
with the delivery service partner and can confirm that this individual
is no longer delivering Amazon packages. We are in touch with the
customer to make things right."
Miami-Dade county is currently
under a county-wide mask mandate, requiring everyone to wear a mask
while in public or face a potential $100 fine.
Mr Breslin said he was simply trying to follow the law.
"I
was being firm. I wasn't being nasty. I wasn't going to let him in the
building without a mask," Mr Breslin said. "Plain and simple."
Ann Coulter sparks outrage after tweeting that she wants accused Kenosha shooter for president
Justin Vallejo
Ann Coulter said Conservative
commentator Ann Coulter tweeted support for accused Wisconsin shooter
Kyle Rittenhouse, saying "I want him as my president".
Twitter
removed Ms Coulter's statements for violating the platform's rules after
users took offence at her opinion, made in response to a user saying
they wanted the teenager as a "bodyguard".
Mr Rittenhouse, 17, was
charged with first-degree intentional homicide in connection with
shootings that left two people dead during the violence in Kenosha on
Tuesday night.
In case @AnnCoulter deletes it, here's the tweet. Please report this vile woman & her vile tweet. @jack & @twitter please help.

Analysis
of the video from the scene of Tuesday night's shootings showed a man
pursued by a group before an unknown gunman fires nearby. He turns in
the direction of the shots. As someone else lunges towards him, the
teenager appears to fire four times.

The
second shooting occurs after the man trips and falls while leaving the
scene of the first shooting. As three people rush toward him, he appears
to fire four times while at least 16 other gunshots sound out around
him.
This timeline of events has left some observers to question whether the man was acting in self-defence, with Fox News host Tucker Carlson also being criticised for considering that scenario.
"A
court will decide whether what you just saw qualifies as self-defence.
As of tonight, we really don't have more details," Mr Carlson said on
his show Wednesday. "We do know why it all happened, though. Kenosha is
devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city
abandoned it. People in charge, from the governor of Wisconsin on down,
refused to enforce the law. They stood back and they watched Kenosha
burn.
"So are we really surprised that looting and arson
accelerated to murder? How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles
decided they had to maintain order when no one else would? Everyone
could see what was happening in Kenosha. It was getting crazier by the
hour," he continued.
