Unusually for the mayor, Adams didn’t publicize this story himself,
and his administration has for nearly a month failed to correct several
public misperceptions about it.
One misperception is that the program allows the city to give out just $50 million to migrants.
No wonder the mayor has been reticent.
This debit-card program — if you read the actual contract — has the
potential to become an open-ended, multi-billion-dollar Bermuda Triangle
of disappearing, untraceable cash, used for any purpose.
It will give migrants up to $10,000 each in taxpayer money with no ID check, no restrictions and no fraud control.

panelists react to reports accusing Harvard chief diversity and
inclusion officer Sherri Ann Charleston of 40 instances of plagiarism.
A diversity, equity and inclusion
(DEI) program targeted at firefighters and medics in King County,
Washington, was suspended after backlash from employees, according to a
report Tuesday.
"Critics, including several
King County firefighters, challenged the training’s political undertones
and its potential infringement on personal beliefs, particularly
regarding gender identity," radio host Jason Rantz revealed in a report.
"The training’s failure could jeopardize participants’ EMT
certifications, demanding acknowledgment of endless genders and an
inherent racial bias among White staff."
The report detailed instructions in the DEI training for white firefighters and medics to check their racist tendencies.

"The
training, titled ‘Stronger Together: An introduction to anti-racism and
gender inclusion,’ aimed to instill empathy, awareness, and dignity in
patient care, yet its execution ignited pushback. It suggested White
staff members inherently harbored ‘racist or sexist views’ and had
caused ‘racial harm at some point.’ They were even told that they
"cannot be ‘not racist.'"
A video of the training, provided by the "Jason Rantz Show," described the practice of "anti-racism" as popularized by critical race theory (CRT) advocate Ibram X. Kendi.
"Anti-racism
describes ideas and policies that produce and sustain racism racial
equity among racial groups," a speaker, identified as Kendi but voiced
by Se'von, tells trainees. "Anti-racism is a powerful collection of
policies that leads to racial equity, and is substantiated by
anti-racist ideas."
The speaker told listeners that a critical
anti-racist practice was "holding yourself and your community
accountable when you notice racism."
"It is important for White
people to understand the distinction between being publicly shamed for a
racist act vs. feeling internalized shame while being held accountable
for racism," one slide tells staff, according to Rantz.

feedback from numerous members expressing concerns about the test, and
after consultations with several fire chiefs who echoed these concerns
from their respective teams, we collectively decided to suspend this
training through the SKCFTC (South King County Fire Training
Consortium)," Renton Fire Chief Steve Heitman wrote in an email shared
with the "Jason Rantz Show."
Heitman said that while he
"wholeheartedly" supports DEI training, he was still concerned that some
staff members would feel forced to say something that does not accord
with their own views.
"What troubles me are certain test questions
that might compel members to compromise their personal beliefs or
values in order to pass, a requisite for EMT recertification," Heitman
said. "This potential conflict may place members in the difficult
positions of choosing between their deeply held convictions and their
professional roles as firefighters/EMTs."
A few days later, Heitman and other chiefs sent an email describing a meeting that they had about the DEI training, per the report.
Heitman
said that "there was unanimous support from the Chiefs for training
aimed at diversity and inclusion and its importance to what we do,"
adding that it was not meant to be "divisive" but "may need some
retooling to be more inclusive."
A King County firefighter who
spoke with the "Jason Rantz Show" said the training was just one recent
example of the county inflicting politicized training on local
employees.
"King County has been doing this ‘anti-racist’ crap
long before Ibram X Kendi came around," the firefighter, speaking
anonymously, said.
"We’ve
never had issues or problems providing care to people of different
backgrounds in emergency scenarios, if you call 911 everyone gets the
same care based on the given reason they called," he said.
The Renton Regional Fire Authority did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

Loved ones are devastated after a grandfather was shot to death after a fender bender in San Bernardino County.
The incident happened on Feb. 5, as the victim, Jonathan Mauk, 59, drove to a Walmart in Highland on an errand run.
At around 8 p.m., Jonathan arrived at the parking lot and was
searching for an open spot. As he drove down an aisle, the female
suspect was backing out of a parking spot.
When officers arrived at the scene, John was found with a gunshot to his head and was pronounced dead.
Loved ones are struggling to process the news of John’s death as they
remember a man who loved his family. John worked at Carey’s Fine
Automobiles in San Bernardino where his coworkers were stunned to hear
of his death.
“I cried when I found out he got killed,” said Lee Hall, the victim’s
friend and coworker. “That’s what he loved — cars. He probably would
have fixed the lady’s car for nothing, but she ended up shooting him.”
Jonathan’s son, Matthew Mauk, is struggling to understand how his father could be murdered over a minor incident.

“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill on Monday shared a May 2020 post on X (then known as Twitter) from Taylor Swift in which the pop star ripped then-President Donald Trump and said he’d be voted out in that year’s election.
The post “has aged remarkably well,” wrote Hamill.
“Especially the ‘We will vote you out in November’ part,” he added.
Swift’s
full post read, “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism
your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority
before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting
starts’??? We will vote you out in November.”
It was in response to Trump’s slamming of people
who were protesting the death of George Floyd as “thugs” and his
threats of violent intervention in the demonstrations against systemic
racism.

– The United States Capitol Police have concluded their investigation
into a controversial incident involving Aidan Maese-Czeropski, a
24-year-old former aide to Democratic Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland.
Maese-Czeropski had been embroiled in a scandal after a sexually explicit video recorded in the Senate hearing room surfaced online.
The video, which depicted Maese-Czeropski and
his partner engaging in anal sex inside the Senate Hearing Room, sparked
nationwide controversy. Clad only in a g-string jockstrap,
Maese-Czeropski was seen atop the senator’s desk, a setting
traditionally reserved for grave legislative deliberations and Supreme
Court confirmation hearings.
In the wake of the incident, Maese-Czeropski
took to his LinkedIn account to address the situation, stating, “This
has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love
to pursue a political agenda.”
He defended his actions, emphasizing his
dedication to his job and denying any disrespect to his workplace. He
also threatened to pursue legal actions against what he considers defamatory claims and a politically motivated assault on his character and blames the fallout on homophobia.
In December, The Gateway Pundit reported
that Maese-Czeropski was under investigation and facing potential
criminal charges after a sexually explicit video filmed within the
Senate premises.
Sources close to the investigation indicated at the time that charges
under consideration could range from trespassing to obscenity
violations.
Per Daily Mail, “According to attorney Jonathan Turley,
there are a number of laws that could potentially have been broken,
including whether an unofficial use of the hearing room could be
considered trespassing.”
The news outlet added, “He added that the footage could land the
staffer in legal hot water if it was shot in the public room to make
revenue, or if it could constitute a lewd, indecent or obscene act.
There is also reportedly a question mark over whether he misused or
damaged government property.”
Despite the uproar and the initial firing by Senator Cardin’s office,
the Capitol Police’s investigation has not found evidence of criminal
activity. In a statement, the Capitol Police announced that, after
extensive consultation with prosecutors and a thorough investigation, no
crimes appear to have been committed.

718th Engineer Company, a reservist unit out of Fort Moore, Georgia.

Harvard University has been handed another black eye after former Harvard President Claudine Gay resigned in disgrace earlier this month.
As the Gateway Pundit previously reported, Gay refused to condemn calling the “genocide of Jews” hate speech in testimony before Congress last month. Evidence then emerged she committed academic misconduct by plagiarizing her PhD thesis.
Now, the Washington Free Beacon reports
that Harvard University’s chief diversity and inclusion officer, Sherri
Ann Charleston, was hit with an anonymous complaint Monday accusing her
of extensively plagiarizing her academic work. This includes lifting
large portions of text without quotation marks and taking credit for a
study by another scholar — her own husband.
The complaint lists a total of 40 accusations against Charleston going back to 2009, a decade before she joined Harvard.
The Free Beacon conducted its
own independent study of the complaint and revealed Charleston quoted
or paraphrased nearly a dozen scholars without giving them credit in her
2009 dissertation at the University of Michigan.
The complaint obtained by The Free Beacon also alleges
Washington plagiarized a study her husband, LaVar Charleston, wrote back
in 2012. Mr. Charleston currently serves as the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s deputy vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion.
This allegation emerged after Mrs. Charleston regurgitated
significant sections of her husband’s 2012 paper in an article they
“co-authored” in 2014. The Beacon cites four damning examples.

Lee Jussim, a social psychologist at Rutgers University, told
the Free Beacon that this rehashing an old article and passing it off
as a new one qualifies as outright fraud, though perhaps not plagiarism.
You cannot just republish an old paper as if it is a new paper. If you do, that is not exactly plagiarism; it’s more like fraud.
Steve McGuire, a former political theory professor at Villanova University, who reviewed both the 2012 and 2014 papers, suggested her actions did qualify as plagiarism.
“Sherri Charleston appears to have used somebody else’s research without proper attribution,” he said.
Her 2009 thesis, however, appears to be an open-and-shut case of plagiarism. In the example below shared by
the Free Beacon, Mrs. Charleston copies a sentence from Eric Arnesen’s
1991 book Waterfront Workers of New Orleans: Race, Class, and Politics,
1863-1923. She does not use quotation marks nor cite Arnesen’s work in a
footnote.

A barbaric YouTuber with 20,000 followers has been arrested in
Pennsylvania for torturing and killing animals on her live streams —
while singing creepy songs about their painful deaths.
Anigar Monsee, 28, would allow viewers to pay her to request certain
animals that they wanted to see her torture and “cook” while scantily
clad.
Animals tortured by the wannabe influencer include a chicken, a pigeon, a rabbit, and frogs.
Monsee was caught after a viewer alerted PETA, People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals, who contacted the Upper Darby Police.
Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said PETA contacted them on Friday, and a criminal complaint was filed.
“It’s just barbaric. It’s inhumane that someone could do that,” Bernhardt said, according to a report from The Daily Times.
“She’s going to answer to all four of the incidents. Detectives looked
into it and charged her. Hopefully it will send a message that this is
cruelty.”
Bernhardt added that the most disturbing part is “the fact that you are soliciting and people are encouraging this.”
The report explained:
A video called “Cooking lucky” posted live this past Friday shows the woman alongside a live chicken in a sink.
The woman repeatedly commented on the number of viewers and likes,
and solicited more, before she harmed the animal. At 9:56, and for
roughly the next 10 minutes, she aggressively handles the clearly
terrified animal, plucking feathers from the bird’s neck, and hacked
repeatedly at the struggling bird’s throat with knives while the animal
attempted to escape.
At one point the bird jumps out of the sink, the woman then climbs
onto the counter and pins it with her feet before sawing at the bird’s
neck in a slow back and forth motion. She continued carving at the
animal’s neck for more than two minutes, until the screen went black.
A September video titled “cook with Ani (coking frogs and fufu)”
shows the woman with three frogs. Just over one minute into that video
she began to carve open the first animal’s stomach, with the animal
still alive, as she slowly pulled out the frog’s organs.
She is heard saying that he’s still alive and joking that he’s “dancing.”
She proceeded to do the same to the other two conscious animals, in
the same agonizing and prolonged manner while singing a song; “Happy
death day” (to the tune of “Happy Birthday”) to the third animal.
In August, Monsee filmed herself torturing a pigeon while making
sexual references. She stroked the bird with a knife before plucking its
feathers while still alive, running its head under scalding hot water,
then slowly sawing its head off with a dull blade.
In another video, she tortured live rabbits.
Monsee is currently being held at Delaware County prison on a $200,000 bond, which she has been unable to post.
The twisted YouTuber’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 5.
