COVINGTON, Ga. – Police charged a 32-year-old Covington woman with disorderly conduct last weekend after a dispute about a wait for a McDonald’s apple pie.

According to a Covington Police Department incident report, Sgt. Allan Seebaran responded to the fast food restaurant at 4112 Highway 278 at around 8:40 p.m. Feb. 17 on a report of an argument about an apple pie.

When he arrived at the scene, Seebaran reportedly saw Ana Luisa Guity-Baltazar talking with the manager in the drive-thru lane before she saw his police car and pulled into a parking space.

When she exited her black Nissan, Guity-Baltazar reportedly looked at Seebaran and punched her palm with a closed fist as she approached and pointed at the manager telling Seebaran that she wanted to press charges.

“If I pay for apple (expletive) pie that means I get my money back,” Guity-Baltazar reportedly said. According to the report, the apple pie totaled $1.06.

Seebaran stepped in to keep Guity-Baltazar away from the manager and arrested her for disorderly conduct.
Restaurant staff said that Guity-Baltazar became irate when she had to wait a few minutes for the apple pie to cook.

According to the report, Guity-Baltazar was transported to Newton County Jail. She was also reportedly given a trespass warning to stay away from the McDonald’s.
