Ex-Texas officer accused of killing daughter, ex-wife arrested after manhunt

Stephen Nicholas Broderick, who’d reportedly been on the run since Sunday, was carrying a loaded gun.

Stephen Nicholas Broderick, 41, a former Texas sheriff’s deputy accused of fatally shooting his former wife, their adopted daughter and a third person has been arrested after an overnight manhunt.

In a statement on Facebook, police in Manor, Texas wrote: “On Monday, April 19, 2021, at approximately 6:53 am the Travis County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a suspicious person call in the 12300 block of Old Kimbro Rd. Two callers reported to dispatch that a male subject fitting the description of Stephen Broderick was walking southbound on Old Kimbro Rd wearing a black shirt and dark jeans.”

“Manor Police Department Officers arrived on scene and immediately conducted a high-risk stop on the subject who was identified as Broderick. Broderick complied with the officer’s orders and was immediately taken into custody at 7:05 am. A loaded pistol was taken from Broderick’s waistband.”

Broderick had been on the run for nearly 20 hours after Amanda Broderick, Alyssa Broderick and young Alyssa’s boyfriend, Willie Simmons III, were found dead at the Arboretum Oaks Apartments in northwest Austin, Texas on Sunday morning.

Alyssa Broderick was a teenager who had previously attended Elgin High School; a statement from the school’s superintendent confirmed that she and Simmons had attended the school.

Both teens were athletes. Simmons had recently been recruited to play football for the University of North Texas.

“The Elgin ISD community grieves the loss of these two young, promising souls” Superintendent Dr. Jodi Duron wrote. “In response to this tragedy, the district will have counselors and trained professionals available via in-person and/or virtually to assist students, staff and families in this time of grief.”

It had been previously reported that Stephen Broderick had resigned from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office after being arrested and charged with the sexual assault of a child last June. He had been released on bond, and his wife had filed for a protective order against him and a divorce.

Amanda Broderick had requested sole custody of Alyssa and the couple’s nine-year-old son.

In a shocking collection of interviews from the George Floyd memorial in Minneapolis, far-left extremists admitted to wanting another civil war and implied that white people need to be killed.

Gonzo journalist and filmmaker Ami Horowitz interviewed several people who were attending the memorial to get their take on things like… burning the city down and using violence against white people. Their responses will surprise no one.

 

“Burn the whole city down, what does it matter?” one of the women asked. “I say burn the city down, y’know? So they can see that we’re here,” another woman asserted.

One of the women went on to say that Derek Chauvin should not have received a trial at all.

“There shouldn’t even be a trial, he should be convicted just as is,” she said.

The extremists were all in agreement that if he was not convicted they would support “street justice” for him, meaning murder.

One of the women said that she believed that “thousands” of unarmed black men were killed last year in the United States — the number is actually 18.

They all also seemed to agree that there is a “genocide” happening to African Americans — and “anyone who isn’t white.”

When asked about a second Civil War, one young woman said “if that’s what it takes, then we have to do it.”

Another responded, “if that’s what it takes, then I believe so.”

Asked if it will happen, yet another woman said “probably.”

“I don’t want to say we need to start killing all white folks, but it’s like…” one of the militant extremists said.“Maybe they need to feel the pain and the hurt,” she continued.

“But…?” Horowitz asked.

On Tuesday afternoon Columbus police shot Makiyah Bryant, a 16-year-old girl who was attempting to stab another person.

16-year-old Makiyah Bryant was involved in a fight before police responded to reports of an attempted stabbing.

Protesters immediately took to the street following her death.

 

The mother of Makhia Bryant spoke to reporters about Makhia, “She was a very loving, peaceful little girl. She was 16-years-old. And Makhia had a motherly nature about her. She promoted peace.”

 

 

But that isn’t what was on the bodycam.

Mikhia lunged at another young woman with a knife. When she wouldn’t stop she was shot dead.

Not so peaceful. Not so loving.

A recent Stanford study released by the NCBI, which is under the National Institutes of Health, showed that masks do absolutely nothing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and their use is even harmful. 

NIH published a medical hypothesis by Dr. Baruch Vainshelboim (Cardiology Division, Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System/Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, United States).

NOQ Report uncovered the study:

Did you hear about the peer-reviewed study done by Stanford University that demonstrates beyond a reasonable doubt that face masks have absolutely zero chance of preventing the spread of Covid-19? No? It was posted on the the National Center for Biotechnological Information government website. The NCBI is a branch of the National Institute for Health, so one would think such a study would be widely reported by mainstream media and embraced by the “science-loving”

Instead, a DuckDuckGo search reveals it was picked up by ZERO mainstream media outlets and Big Tech tyrants will suspend people who post it, as political strategist Steve Cortes learned the hard way when he posted a Tweet that went against the face mask narrative. The Tweet itself featured a quote and a link that prompted Twitter to suspend his account, potentially indefinitely.

Many countries across the globe utilized medical and non-medical facemasks as non-pharmaceutical intervention for reducing the transmission and infectivity of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes, the District Chief medical examiner ruled.

The autopsy found no evidence of external or internal injuries and Sicknick did not have an allergic reaction to any chemical irritants.

 

The mainstream media, with The New York Times leading the charge, lied about Sicknick’s death and falsely claimed he died from injuries suffered after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher during the Capitol riot on January 6.

The Gateway Pundit was first to report that Officer Sicknick may have died from a stroke.

A source told TGP reporter Cassandra Fairbanks Sicknick had a “medical emergency” (possibly a stroke) while on duty during the protest.

TGP was right and Big Media got caught in another lie.

Capitol Police officer Brian D. Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes a day after he confronted rioters at the Jan. 6 insurrection, the District’s chief medical examiner has ruled. The ruling, released Monday, likely will make it difficult for prosecutors to pursue homicide charges in the officer’s death. Two men are accused of assaulting Sicknick by spraying a powerful chemical irritant at him during the siege.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Francisco J. Diaz, the medical examiner, said the autopsy found no evidence the 42-year-old officer suffered an allergic reaction to chemical irritants, which Diaz said would have caused Sicknick’s throat to quickly seize. Diaz also said there was no evidence of internal or external injuries. The medical examiner noted Sicknick was among the officers who engaged the Capitol mob and said ‘all that transpired played a role in his condition.’

Last month two men were arrested for *assault* on police officer Brian Sicknick.

Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39 of Morgantown, are accused of assault.

The DC Chief Medical Examiner earlier this month announced the cause and manner of death of the four people who died during January 6 riot at US Capitol.

Two men died of natural causes and one woman’s death was ruled an accident.

Ashli Babbitt’s death was ruled a homicide.

Retired St. Louis Police Captain David Dorn was murdered in early June outside of Lee’s Pawn and Jewelry in North St. Louis City.

The looters then broke in the store and looted it as dozens of cars drove by on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.

The Minnesota National Guard was fired at in a drive-by shooting in north Minneapolis early Sunday morning — just hours after Rep. Maxine Waters told the Black Lives Matter extremists to be “more confrontational.”

 

Local news station WCCO reported that the Minnesota National Guard said its members, along with Minneapolis police officers, were “providing neighborhood security” near Penn and Broadway avenues when someone fired shots from a white SUV.

The shooting took place shortly after 4 a.m, shots were fired at the National Guard and law enforcement in north Minneapolis near W Broadway and Penn Ave N.

Two National Guard members sustained injuries.

Police later reported that a light-colored SUV had fired on police officers and National Guard members early on Sunday morning.

 

It was a black male driver.

UPDATE: On Monday night the Department of Justice announced they had captured the person who fired the national guard.

‘Human challenge’ trial could help develop new treatments and vaccines against coronavirus disease

Healthy, young volunteers who have previously had COVID-19 will be deliberately exposed to coronavirus for a second time to see how the immune system responds, as part of a new U.K. study.

Researchers at the University of Oxford on Monday launched the “human challenge” trial to investigate what happens when volunteers who have recovered from the coronavirus disease are then reinfected with the virus a second time.

The study, which is funded by the Wellcome Trust, is expected to start in the next few weeks after receiving ethics approval, and could help accelerate the development of new treatments and vaccines against the disease.

Human challenge studies have played a crucial role in the development of treatments for a number of diseases, including malaria, typhoid, cholera and flu.

“A challenge study allows us to make these measurements very precisely because we know exactly when someone is infected,” said Helen McShane, professor of vaccinology at the department of pediatrics at the University of Oxford and chief investigator on the study.

“The information from this work will allow us to design better vaccines and treatments, and also to understand if people are protected after having COVID, and for how long,” McShane said.

The first stage of the trial will involve up to 64 volunteers aged 18-30 who have previously been naturally infected with COVID-19. It will look to establish the lowest dose of virus that can take hold and start replicating in about 50% of participants, while producing few to no symptoms.

Volunteers will be monitored in a safe, controlled environment while quarantined in a specially designed hospital suite for a minimum of 17 days. Anyone who develops coronavirus symptoms will be given Regeneron REGN, -0.28% monoclonal antibody treatment.

Once the standard dose is established, it will be used to infect different volunteers in the second stage of the trial, which is due to start in the summer. The full length of the study will be 12 months, including a minimum of eight follow-up appointments after volunteers have been discharged.

The new study is different to a parallel one led by Imperial College London, which was announced in February, and will expose up to 90 carefully selected healthy adult volunteers to coronavirus to help researchers understand how the virus infects people and how it is transmitted.

It comes as almost 10 million people in the U.K. have now received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest government figures.

Three vaccines are currently in use in the U.K.: the one jointly developed by German biotech BioNTech BNTX, -1.58% and U.S. drug company Pfizer PFE, 0.66% ; the one produced by drug company AstraZeneca with the University of Oxford; and the shot from biotech Moderna MRNA, -5.61%.

Last week, Moderna said it would deliver fewer than expected COVID-19 vaccines to the U.K., Canada and other countries, following a shortfall in production in its European supply chain.

Breonna Taylor’s mom lashed out at Black Lives Matter (BLM) this week amid reports the co-founder, Patrisse Cullors is living high on the hog in million dollar homes.

Last year Breonna Taylor was killed during a knock-and-announce drug raid, during which her boyfriend shot at police and they returned fire. LMPD Sgt. Jon Mattingly was shot during the exchange and has now recovered.

Last September Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced that there will be no charges filed against two of the Louisville police officers involved in the shooting of Breonna Taylor, while the third was charged with “wanton endangerment.”

Wanton endangerment is a Class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison.

Breonna Taylor’s mom went off on BLM and said the organization has not helped her family at all.

“I have never personally dealt with BLM Louisville and personally have found them to be fraud, Attica Scott another fraud,” Breonna’s mom Tamika Palmer said in a Facebook post.

“I could walk in a room full of people who claim to be here for Breonna’s family who don’t even know who I am, I’ve watched y’all raise money on behalf of Breonna’s family who has never done a damn thing for us nor have we needed it or asked so Talk about fraud.”

She concluded with: “I’m a say this before I go I’m so sick of some of y’all and I was last anybody who needs it I’m with this shit enough is enough!!”

Covid-19 booster shot likely needed within 12 months, Pfizer's CEO says

People are likely to need a third dose of a Covid-19 vaccine within a year of getting fully vaccinated and may subsequently need annual shots to protect against the coronavirus, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said Thursday.

Pfizer and its German partner, BioNTech, are studying how long the vaccines' protective immunity will last. Their findings will guide whether additional booster shots will be necessary.

Bourla said it's "likely" that a booster will be needed within 12 months of the initial two-shot regimen.

"It is extremely important to suppress the pool of people that can be susceptible to the virus," Bourla told CNBC on Thursday during an event with CVS Health.

Pfizer and BioNTech said this month that data from clinical trials suggest that their vaccine offers high levels of protection six months after the second dose, with no serious safety concerns. The vaccine was also found to be effective against several known coronavirus variants, including one that was first reported in the U.K. and another that was thought to have emerged in South Africa.

Moderna is similarly studying an upgraded version of its Covid-19 vaccine that is specifically designed to target the South African variant, which some experts worried may evade existing vaccines.

In an interview Wednesday with CNBC, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel said the company is working on a shot that would combine protection against Covid-19 and the seasonal flu. It will be especially important over the next year, he said, as new variants of the coronavirus emerge and circulate around the world.

"What we're trying to do at Moderna, actually, is to get a flu vaccine in the clinic this year and then combine a flu vaccine to a Covid vaccine so that you only have to get one boost at your local CVS store, at your GP every year, that will protect you to a variant of concern against Covid and a seasonal flu strain," Bancel said.

Black Lives Matter is seeking to transform America by defunding the police, dismantling capitalism, ‘destroying the patriarchy,’ breaking down the nuclear family unit, emptying prisons, redistributing wealth in the form of reparations among other far-left objectives.

 

Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters have destroyed small businesses, targeted churches and razed buildings to the ground.

Their goal is to bring chaos where there is order, fan the flames of class warfare and demonize Christians and conservatives.

Black Lives Matter-Antifa mobs caused over one billion dollars in damages in cities across America since May. In Minneapolis alone Black Lives Matter mobs damaged or destroyed over 1,500 businesses or buildings.

Over 700 police officers were injured in the BLM riots — and that was back in June!

Black Lives Matter was linked to conservatively 91% of the riots that resulted in the most expensive property damage in US insurance history.

But being a Marxist has its perks for those on top.

According to The Dirt Patrisse Khan-Cullors just purchased a million dollar secluded compound in Topanga Canyon near Malibu and Beverly Hills.

A secluded mini-compound tucked into L.A.’s rustic and semi-remote Topanga Canyon was recently sold for a tad more than $1.4 million to a corporate entity that public records show is controlled by Patrisse Khan-Cullors, 37-year-old social justice visionary and co-founder of the galvanizing and, for some, controversial Black Lives Matter movement.

Kahn-Cullors, a UCLA and USC graduate married about five years ago to social activist (and amateur boxer) Janaya Khan, co-founder of Black Lives Matter Toronto, created the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag in 2013 in response to George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the 2012 shooting of Trayvon Martin. Since then, the largely decentralized movement has been at the influential forefront on issues of police brutality and racially motivated violence against Black people, particularly in the wake of George Floyd’s killing last summer that sparked massive protests across the United States and around the globe. Kahn-Cullors’ published “When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir” in 2018.

On Thursday night Chicago police released extremely graphic bodycam footage of a police officer shooting a 13-year-old gang-banger.

An unidentified police officer fatally shot 13-year-old Adam Toledo on March 29.  Chicago officials only released the video on Thursday night.

 

Following the shooting, the Chicago Latin Kings threatened to retaliate against the Chicago police.
